Naish Charger Review 11m 2010 By Ian C
See comments below pictures. I was really pleased that this kite scored top marks for
- easy relaunch, depower and stability because often these factors are overlooked for less important ones. I think we will see this kite gaining a very good reputation over time (has just been released). Remember that although bridles and pullies (on 90% of kites today) have brought extra depower to modern kite and hence safety of being dragged, that it is always important to check they are not worn, tangled or jammed at launch time so the kite can be controlled. Also do not think that just because these types of kites have so much depower that you can take more risk with less buffer zone downwind of you when riding /launching. (ie flat land clear of objects/ buildings/ trees/ people/ riders downwind of you). Although it is rare, pullies can get jammed/ break and bridles tangled taking your kite into a spin pulling you downwind fast - this is when you will wish you had taken my advice!

Simple minimal bar and lines setup - not too many contraptions hanging around to tangle lines and turn things pear shaped- good
stability (important to all riding/wave riding /just making life easier..) was real good - - I oversheeted the kite and ran forwards and it hovers back to the lines like a parachute rather than falling out of the sky likemnay kites do today.
Kite turns fast and bar pressure is enough to feel where the kite is but not too much to get your arms aching

good idea - pulley that goes rope to rope if the pully breaks/jams - rather than just comes apart and end of session.

Turns are real responsive. Batton keeps flying tips more rigid
Batton does not reach front of kite so if you slam it into someone by accident less likely to hurt them

Gives kite a bit more range at the top end on 20m lines. Always fly a suitable sized kite in suitable wind and to your ability though - because if it all goes wrong depower means nothing and you will wish you were on a smaller kite at that moment believe me. It is actually the easiest kite to fly I have ever ridden
which will let you get on and enjoy the ride!
